Since its launch in April 2011, HyLo Boutiques has been promoting small businesses by telling the stories of the people and companies behind the products, designs, and services. As an “experiential agency,” they celebrate the experiences small businesses offer their customers and the art of crafting them. Their work has been highlighted in publications such the Philadelphia Inquirer, Bon Appetit, Mashable and Gizmodo.
Keeping in line with the company’s mission of “connecting craftsmen and connoisseurs,” we set out to appeal to both groups, developing a site that connected their clients’ rustic roots with the agency’s urban sophistication. To highlight the agency’s expertise in video production, we let vibrant imagery tell HyLo’s story. The site’s modern design and functionality are a reflection of HyLo's contemporary social tactics for promoting the artists, designers, and chefs behind small local businesses.
